Elder Grove is a family-run guest house offering you
wonderful bed and breakfast in Ambleside.
The accommodation is warm and welcoming, homely yet with the
service of a small hotel, making this Bed and
Breakfast a fantastic location for your holiday or weekend
break in the Lake District.
Your hosts Paul and Vicky McDougall, who have lived in the Lake
District all their lives and have a wealth of catering
experience, have taken Elder Grove to a new level in
offering a little more than a traditional B & B.
The house itself is a distinct, detached Lakeland building,
built in the late 1900's and still retaining many original
features but with all the convenience of today's
contemporary living
As you might expect your breakfast at Elder Grove is rather
special, with guests often commenting "its the best
breakfast we've ever had". Putting the 'Breakfast' into Bed and
Breakfast, starts with your choice of cooked breakfast or
lighter bites from our Breakfast buffet, locally sourced
products and plenty of home made jams, marmalade & bread,
all prepared by Paul giving you the perfect start to your
day.
Set in
the heart of the Lake District, Elder Grove has easy access
to the town of Ambleside, with the centre being only 5
minutes walk. Ambleside is ideal for access to other parts
of the Lake District such as Keswick, Windermere and
Coniston.
